	Using transponders configured for Ku band VSAT return links to the hub teleport I've just been doing some link budgets for WSPR transmissions using 1 mW transmit power into a 10cm horn/dish at 14 GHz with hub reception on 1m dish. Using 6 Hz bandwidth I get results like C/N=9 dB.� �Is that right ? It sounds a bit improbable to me. With a bandwidth of 6 Hz the threshold for WSPR operation is a C/N of -2 dB, so the link should work very well with a good link margin of 10 dB or so. The bit rate is extremely low, 28 bits every 2 minutes, and is rather the opposite to the popular 'broadband' but it should appeal to customers who do not want to send much data.
